Born in Missouri, brought up in the music business in Houston, Texas, and now calling Cherokee Village, Arkansas home, Deforest opened Lake Paradise Studio five years ago with a vision that artists could use the serene lakeside studio as a refuge from the day to day hustle of city life. In 2016 he was the Hall of Fame award winner for the George D. Hay society and currently records under the Label: voyage/Orchard/Sony.
Born and raised in Texas City, Texas, Ken started his professional career at age 15 as a guitarist at the world famous Gilley’s Club in Pasadena, Texas. Ken was hired out of his music store job to “hit the road” with the “Jack Welch Show” for 4 years, touring the country, learning to become a real performer and doing recording session work at Adobe Studios in El Paso, Texas.Ken taught himself to be proficient on multiple instruments and became a “first adopter” of computer art and graphics programs as they related to music. Ever the performer, Ken also dabbled in acting in live shows produced at Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Florida.
